An Unforgetable Christmas !

Part 3: Two dreams came true

We hope you all had a merry and God-centered Christmas ! This year again, we were thinking about what God wants for Christmas. So we did our best to give, open and surrender our HEART to our Savior, the Light of the world, the Prince of Peace. We ended up being blessed beyond our hope and dreams.

Since couple years now, I dreamed to have a nativity scene. I could not find it.. So I finally gave up ! Then something amazing happened. The first day of December, we discovered a present at our door step with a card saying this:

And then, every few days, we received gifts at our door step from those mysterious friends!

Each gift bag had one character of the Nativity,

The last day, December 25th, we got baby Jesus, the true meaning of Christmas!!

God is good, all the time! The second dream that came true is the wonderful Christmas celebration at our church. Our family was part of a play called: Christmas in reverse! Finally, I had my cousin Sara visiting from Montreal with her three boys and my Nephew Zié and his wife Nicole from Washington State to share Christmas with us. Those are some pictures of what will be for our family : a CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER !!

The SOUND of the RAIN !

It will perhaps seem strange to you, but for some days, I’m dying to hear the sound of  the rain! Yes you got me right, you know, when it rains and you hear the clicking or splashing of raindrops on the roof and against the windows, I miss it a lot.

Let me explain: we arrived in Edmonton late July 2013, since that time until October, if I’m not mistaken, it has rained 3 or 4 times. Then winter  brutally came in November. It is now 5 months and we had 2 freezing rain that I call dangerous and impossible to appreciate, because, when there is snow and it rains, the snow becomes icy and terribly slippery, source of  falls and accidents .

So I would love to see  the snow completely melted  and hear the rain … I guess our friends from Belgium or Africa etc., may be shocked to hear that, I know some people who are tired of the rain, I understand you! Maybe we should exchange situations: send me your rain and we will gladly send you our snow. In fact, do not forget to add your spring or summer temperatures!

 

A little advice to you dear friends who have very positive temperatures: please, stop and listen, appreciate and contemplate the life reborn (the flowers that bloom, sunny blue sky, the rain as a contribution, the nature that sings the greatness of the Creator …) and do not let the “sick of the rain, the heat …” hide the grace to see our Perfect Creator: God in the beauty of His creation!

No News…. Good News!

I would like to say that time flies but no, I just want to scream: “POSITIVE TEMPERATURE PLEASE!” This country is incredibly cold with eternal winter pffff. Yes I know, it was to be expected, but you know what, even Edmonton natives don’t get used to this cold weather. Besides, they say that this year the winter is exceptionally hard … cool!

I do not know if this happens to you, but I feel that once I get to a new place, something different, unusual happens: good or bad pfff

The positive side: today it has been 12 days that I feel great. Total peace in my body and my mind, Hallelujah! Thank you dear friends for your support in prayer, we have a God who answers!
