All You Have To Do Is Call!

Have you ever left a message for your doctor to call you and then waited all day for his reply? You can’t leave the house because you might miss him, and every time the phone rings, you’re disappointed when it’s not him.

We live in a quick-fix society, but we don’t always have quick access to those who can give us the answers we need.

Easy access and a listening ear are blessings offered by the Father to His obedient child. He is always on call!

David knew that well, and he took full advantage of his loving relationship with the Lord in calling upon Him continually. David had no trouble crying out to the Lord. He never hesitated; he easily and confidently lifted his voice to the One he knew could help. He poured out his heart; he wept; he pleaded for the Lord’s intervention.

I sometimes struggle with feeling I have to be strong when I speak with others Christians. I think I’m supposed to exhibit all the fruit of the Spirit even when I’m weak and in great distress. I think I should be joyful, patient, kind toward any enemy that may assail me. I want to show others what a “big girl” I am. I want to be strong in my own strength!

In truth, I am the Father’s imperfect child who will always be in process of growing. So what should I do with these feelings of desperation, this sense of a crushed spirit?

Our Father wants us, His children, to share freely our whole hearts with Him. My relief always lies in being honest with Him.

David is a wonderful role model for how to cast my burden upon Lord and find relief for my soul. He truly lifted up his soul to his Father: “God, here is what’s going on, and this is how i feel. I’m losing all hope, and I’m paralysed with fear. I need you!”

David easily became the child seeking refuge and solace from his Father. He admitted his inability to save himself, his total dependence on God. His intimate knowledge of God enabled him to say, “I will call on the LORD, who is worthy of praise, for he saves me from my enemies”  (Psalms 18:3).

David did not try to do for himself what he knew only God could do.

What David did well was cry. What God did well was answer and he still does!

ALL I HAVE TO DO IS CALL !!!

“We can not do anything for you…”

“Sorry, but we can’t do anything for you …”

That’s what two doctors told me last weekend when I went twice to the emergency for chest pain, difficulty breathing when I sit or lie down. A new symptom of the disorder of my immune system.

I confess that at that moment, listening to the demoralizing verdict of the doctors, I thought: here are two people who have spent years in medical school, obtained specializations and qualifications with names that are often hard to pronounce ,  saying they can do nothing against this intolerable pain. They add that the pain will not go away before days or even weeks!

That confirms the limitations of the human, despite his knowledge and qualifications. Ultimately, only God, my creator can DO EVERYTHING , because, in him the word impossible does not exist! So, on our way to home, in tears, Marc and I  prayed to God again.

Dear friends, I’m much better today thanks to the Lord and your prayers, THANK YOU!

We would like to share this with you because when all is well in our dream land, we do not hesitate to share with you and give glory to God. Also, in time of trial, we want to keep the same attitude:  glorify Him, 47295-ExcellentQuotations.com-Author-Unknown keep the faith and trust in our Heavenly Father!

My God is so good

He takes good care of me

Debora & Dara

This God so faithful, do you know he cares about you?

He would love to help you in your difficulties

You must come to Him as you are.

God knows so well, what seems heavy,

what hurt you, disturb you every day

He knows your need, your fear of tomorrow

With my God, you know, everything will be fine!

He lives forever, He’s the almighty God

He will answer you, just come to Him

When everything seems dark, sad and desperate

Do you know that up there, you are not forgotten.

My God will help you, he will guide your steps

If you want to walk, submit to his law

So do not fear, you can count on Him

He will do everything he promised.

With my God, you know, everything will be fine!
